My First Giveaway
Some of you might know that a while ago, I started a company called Simply Om. The purpose of the company is to support fair trade artisans around the world who are working themselves out of oppression and dire circumstances by making jewelry out of local, sustainable resources. My hope is to one day build my own community of artisans and help teach them how to design and make jewelry and make themselves employable and give them a skillset so they don’t have to resort to begging or worse.
Simply Om is still up and running, but the reality of things is that I do need to go back to work in corporate America. I guess right now I have to lean in in a few directions. It’s going to take a lot of work for me to get Simply Om to where I want it to be – and before I make a commitment to a group the way I want – I need to ensure stability and financial backing for this venture. So I am working again, which feels a little bit like I am quitting Simply Om. What I have to keep telling myself is that I am not quitting – I am doing what I need to do to continue to make this dream a reality.
So now I am tucked back into corporate America, which means I have to curse a whole lot less on this blog. Fuck, that really sucks. Also, I will have to be a whole lot more careful about what I say, which basically means nothing will change because I have been working in corporate America almost the whole time I have written this blog and it hasn’t stopped me from saying much of anything. So I guess you really don’t have to fucking worry that anything will change around here.
What I did want to do is something I don’t usually do. A giveaway. Yes! I want to give you something free and you hardly have to do diddly squat for it. How do you like them apples? All you need to do is enter the giveaway through the entry form below. It’s easy and you have a good chance of winning a beautiful piece of jewelry from Simply Om, keeping my dream alive, so to speak.
You have a choice between two necklaces. Both are stunning. They are almost identical, except for the main gemstone used in each.
The first is the Serenity Necklace. Semi-Precious Amethyst.
The second is the Harmony Necklace. Smoky Quartz.
Necklace Description: The faceting on the the semi-precious stones is extremely detailed, making the stones show enormous dimension. When mixed with the pyrite and sterling silver, the gemstones are truly show stopping. Made by artisans in India. Fair Trade.
Good luck! The winner will be announced/contacted within 48 hours after the contest closes. Trust me, it’s a stunning piece of jewelry and it’s tied to the heart of the mission of Simply Om.
Thanks for participating. If you can share this with friends and family, I will love you even more than I already do. XO,
